As a game designer within a multidisciplinary group, I played a crucial role of technical designer in the development of the “Tolworth Rewilding” app. Working alongside talented UX designers, animators, and game designers, our collective goal was to raise awareness about rewilding in the Tolworth area of the UK, utilizing augmented reality (AR) technology. My responsibilities involved designing and developing the AR functionalities using the Unity engine. This included creating immersive AR experiences where users could explore the environment, browse various goodies and services offered by the Tolworth community, and engage in educational activities. In addition, I provided platform suggestions to ensure optimal user experience and successfully integrated the UI designs created in Figma with the AR components in Unity. Collaborating on this project allowed me to leverage my technical expertise and contribute to the seamless fusion of technology and design. It was truly fulfilling to be a part of a team dedicated to promoting environmental awareness through an engaging and interactive mobile app.
